Round Four

Intermission Babble
What was I talking about last round? Pfft! Some rounds you're up; some rounds you're down. Last time not much happened - this time everything did! At least so far. I have teens running amok galore and they make everything so much more interesting. I'm at the point where there's so many sims I just have to let them go and step in only when they are on the verge of killing themselves (often, but you know *shrug*) or trying to raid the fridge of hard earned fish when they're not even hungry! Geez. Ahem, but let us start from the top -
Fritz is a real sweetheart; he cooks, he cleans, he fixes, he plays with his siblings, he tends to the garden, he...well he basically does everything - gladly! And most of the time on his own. Meanwhile the adults that should be doing all of this? For some reason unable to cool down and so spending most of their time sleeping inside or talking inside to keep them from passing out. As you can see, it didn't work too well at first, and they were both stuck there for three or four hours until Fritz returned and found them like that. I can't remember now but I think I must have gotten Magdalena pregnant immediately, hence why Fritz is so much older than the others, and then not gotten her pregnant for a while, as by the end of this round Aurel was still a kid and Liesa only just becoming one, unlike with others families who have two sets of kids growing into teens.
As for the Kohler's - Janina is just as efficient and easy to please as Fritz, which is probably why they gravitated together so quickly. They've been best friends since early childhood and have remained that way ever since. No surprise then when Fritz came over one day and Janina jumps into his arms (autonomously!) and then with one little minor flirt they're doing that whole crush/love thing at once. It was super cute. I thought about setting them up at first, but then thought "Oh no, then we'll get too many mixed kids and there will be no skin1 kids to be Emperor!" Fritz being 'heir' and all, but once I saw them together I changed my mind - heck, there's plenty of other skin 1 kids around! Not like I'm going to run out! And here's a bit of info - between the two skin 1 families the Lichtenbergs are in the lead just now (boo!) haha j/k. I kind of forget I have another 2 generations yet @__@ So there you have it, my first couple set up, and as for the rest? NO idea haha. We'll see. Plenty of time yet.
And then we have the Althausens - my goodness, it's monsoon season wherever the heck they are! (just next door technically). Seriously, it rained more than it didn't the entire round, they only had to water their plants once! And even then it wasn't necessary as they then got water logged straight after. It rained most days and then stopped for most of the night, any pictures you see where it isn't raining - they're just flukes! To start with Ulrich got zapped and I was thinking "there he goes..." but despite his low needs he didn't die! I'm surprised, usually they aren't that low and they still die, and then he was more worried about the toilet than his hunger being in total red! Geez, sims, lol. And also despite the rain they were ALL constantly suffering heat stroke, I had a heck of a job keeping the kids out of the red zone. And you can see on my last day, just two hours before the boys grew into teens no less, the social services worker came (damn it woman go back to your own time!) and my heart dropped - nooo don't take all my kids! (minus Nadja of course) and I stupidly clicked on the info thing before I could read it properly but I think it was just a warning, as she disappeared without taking anyone - lucky! And then I spent the next 12 hours watching the kids with eagle eyes to make sure they didn't overheat again. In hindsight I'm now thinking - there's one way to keep the population down! *idiot*
Other things - I created a community lot which I have forgotten to take pictures of so you know what the heck I'm talking about - slick. You can see it a bit in one of the Althausen pictures - third row, fifth column - Nadja is talking to Fritz. My original purpose was in the hope teenagers would show up so I could meet and greet them; I don't know how well that will go as at the time I didn't have many teens, maybe after this round it'll work better. Some of them met as kids and I just haven't bothered making them friends, some just made friends themselves really easy, but a heap still don't know each other. They're teens for a long time though so I'll worry about setting up pairs then.
I think that's plenty from me for now ^__^. Until after the Lichtenbergs and the Brauns, adieu~

Lichtenberg
Braun
End of Round 4 goodness babble
My last two families are the smallest families and complete opposites; you have the Lichtenbergs with two teen girls, and then the Brauns with two teen boys. It makes for interesting end of Round play.
I don't think there's really a lot to tell; I was having fun though, which is the whole point right? ^__^
Without going into huge detail - to spice things up a bit I decided to do something different with Gisa Lichtenberg, you see, surprisingly (and I mean this because her parents genes don't tend to mix well) Gisa turned out really pretty; she's an anomaly in the land of the Caveman! So I gave her a new hair-do when she morphed into a teen and realised as I did so she reminded me of Lady Godiva - yes, that lady that rode naked on a horse through town (apparently in an effort to stop her husband's heavy taxes, but who knows) - and so I thought to myself "it's the caveman times, why don't I have some men fight for her? Good idea!" And so, when she finally gets to know some of the other boys in town I shall choose a few and have them fight for her - winner takes all!
As for the Brauns - I spent a lot of time being entertained by Jurgen who seems to appear at just the right moment to witness entertaining events; such as watching his father come flying off the O Mighty Hammock, and then he was just passing by exactly when Brunilda decided it was time to pop out Erwin, and although not shown he has a habit of being right beside anyone about to grow up. He's such a quiet creature. It wasn't until he morphed into a teen I noticed how attentive he actually was; he prefers gardening to fishing, looking after the younger siblings to hanging out with his evil (and incredibly lazy - takes after dad) big brother. I've always liked Jurgen the most (don't tell my sims I have favourites! *zipped*) I was thinking of keeping him instead of Detlef who is oblivious to all outside his own conceited self important bubble (he's not that bad...honest). Ah well we'll see. Plenty of time yet.
Until next round~ (did that go fast or what?!) Adieu~
