Round Six
Faulkner
As this is a special round I have decided I will try to type up a little bit about each family as they stand. This is not the end of the first generation, but by the end of this round the second generation can commence. So, hopefully I can set it up in a way that's not too confusing =/
This was a round full of birthdays; everyone except Aurel had a birthday, poor lonely guy haha. I started with two adults, two teens, three kids and two tots. I ended with two elders, one adult, four teens, two kids, and one tot. If this makes little sense check out the family page to see what happened. I think Magdalena and Lukas make very attractive elders, if only I could take their clothing with them into that stage >_> oh well.
With so many sims on the lot I didn't get much done. It's difficult to give each young sim undivided attention (how do parents do it?!) to figure out their personalities and who they would get along with best etc, I try, it usually takes a few rounds to find them a friend or a mate for the next generation, but by the end of this round I don't think I learned anything (woe is me). Never fear! Fritz, yes that's him in the last three pictures not Lukas, has grown into an adult and the next morning I moved him out onto his own lot, seeing as how he's marrying a Skin 4 (Janina Kohler) purely for my own "aww they're so cute together!" reasons that will come back to haunt me later I'm sure.
Which brings me to the hacks! I have three - ACR, InTeenimater, and Triplets & Quads (which thankfully is set low and hasn't come into affect yet @__@). Although it rubs some people the wrong way, I have allowed teen pregnancies, teen move-out on own, amongst other things, and I have decided to use them. This is the Neanderthal era, men weren't waiting around for the girls to be a certain age, you know? *pointed look* They were jumping those poor girls the first chance they had, I'm sure (maybe the girls liked it? who knows~) As such some of my couples will be moved out as teens, and some will be adult/teen. I AM waiting until at least the last week to few days to do that with the teens though otherwise this would be way too easy and zipped past too quick; I'm very much enjoying the lazy attitude of the neanderthals LoL. Also, if you have read the rules properly, the teen marriage/pregnancy thing comes into play in the Dark Ages era, with the vikings if you want to have a peek now~

Kohler
The Kohler's always seem to be fairly eventful, and still they manage to earn a tonne of money on their produce. I don't know how they do it - with ease and elegance fit for an Emperor! Yeah? ^__^ Shame really.
The shower wanted all the attention, I can't tell you how many times it broke but you can just feel poor Klaus's despair in the second row there. I know I've never had the same appliance break so many times in a row before!
You can see how I just left them to amuse themselves, playing and dancing and arguing together, all the while wondering why I never noticed how Isa and Kord became such good friends; I had Liesa and Kord locked to be friends with each other but never saw them together and decided since I had Fritz and Janina that was enough mixed colours for now, I need some skin 1 x skin 1 love happening somewhere, except the Faulkners don't seem to get along well with the Lichtenbergs, I wonder if they know they're actually in competition with each other? (Sims know more than you think, man, they just KNOW). And after noticing, who showed up every day? Isa Faulkner knows what she wants, I tell ya, and since I've decided Armin is to be heir for this family I gave her what she want. I'm loving Kord's unique nose and eager to see how his offspring turn out - I want to see that nose for generations to come!
But with the ups must come the downs, and even though he was only red hot FOR A SECOND! (damn you stalker social services woman!) the twins got...eaten by bears >_> because it would just be WEIRD if they got taken by something as modern as social services, RIGHT?! Yeah...I thought so too... >_> *shifty*
And to add insult to injury - Klaus has this permanent want for more kids now, which his beautiful elderly wife had to explain she couldn't have anymore, and so Klaus has turned elsewhere for his wants >_> what a cad! Klaus you are so in the bad books.

Althausen
The Althausens - I am loving the Althausens and didn't want to leave. All the kids are teens now and I think they're all pretty much hooked up, except Saskia, she does like someone but I can't remember if I've set him up with someone so we'll wait and see~ I wasn't sure about an heir, I almost thought Henrik would get to stay since he's been with Elli for an age, but I always had a soft spot for Hagon he just never liked anyone! Then out of the blue Theda shows up and it's all lovey and dovey and the world is a wonderful place... *cough* but let's not get ahead of ourselves (too late) I'll explain more on that later. Still, it made me realise Hagon is the only Skin 3 I have. Uno numero! I can't believe I never noticed it before. I doubt he'll stay that way with all the mixed couples happening, but he's a little bit special to me now (a lot!) LoL. Let's not play favourites now...*shifty*
Nadja was pretty much ignored, as much as you CAN ignore a first born >_> She just never stuck out much to me and I was just going to shuffle her off to the side, but she must have sensed what was coming (that thing about the sims KNOWING you know?! LoL) because it turns out she wants to stick around - and how better than to jump in with the heir to the Braun family? Yah ha! Crafty isn't she?
And a special note on my elders Ulrich and Oda - usually I fix them up before taking any pictures of them the moment they "grow up" unless they're not too bad, but I just couldn't miss this snapshot of the couple. Don't they look adorable? They were so made for each other *cough* They're more like kids than parents, though they aren't bad parents, they just blend in so well with their teenagers now, even as elders - a bit slower, but still kicking! And the reason they're hungry? Because the fridge is empty, no leftovers, and no way to make any fish until 10.30 ^__^ I got that a lot this round LoL. I like it - now they can't randomly make food until I let them. (is so cruel).

Lichtenberg
The Lichtenbergs were a little dull this round, I was desperately searching for potential spouses (really should just go with the flow LoL) when Gisa made one of those "booty calls" and who shows up?! Oh...right >_> forgot I had set her and Kord up ages ago, dum de dum... moving right along! Kord and Theda had better chemistry and I'm not too keen on Theda's features, they're just...odd, but I LOVE Kord's nose, as I said earlier, and I'm hoping it'll come through but looking back on these pictures Theda + Kord = ....yeees, anyway, let us not mention this again. ^_^ Moving along, everyone is getting paired up so I don't know how well Lady Godiva is coming along now, Gisa is always calling up Kord but I think that's only because they've been friends the longest, since forever almost, but everytime Aurel is on the lot she's all over him (he is SO oblivious, seriously) so I watched them talk and the next thing you know I have my first skin 1 x skin 1 couple - yay! And that was about it, sorry, boring round for them, other than partner hunting I was forever trying to keep them from overheating.
Braun
Wow what a round! The Brauns really went all out for me. First Liesa conveniently showed up, then Erwin soon after revealing his cute teenage self to his older bride-to-be, and then they spent the rest of the day near dying from heat stroke; I tell ya - weekends + young sims = lots of work! LoL. They were very entertaining to watch though, I used to dislike the teenage sims because they just seem to last forever, I mean, they have 15 days! That's half a lifetime before you can do anything with them, usually, but in this case they're useful and amusing and I'm sure going to miss them. In amongst all this entertainment though I forgot to take a kid picture of Erwin, which is a shame coz he was a cutie (don't I say that about all of them? >_> totally bias). I then realise NOW, after all that, the new swimwear that I don't know what it came with (H&M or OFB) is sort of tribal looking and the teenage boys look really good in it! ^__^ And then they grow up... Detlef surprised me! Sometimes I notice the kids age from tot to adult looking pretty much the same, and other times they'll be SO different I don't recognise them at all, like Detlef, what a hottie he is now, his personality also strangely different from teen to adult >_> is that normal? (sim bodysnatchers? =/ ) See below for a sneak peek at the next round~
To sum it up - the harder I tried to pair sims up, the less they wanted to be paired, I found that a lot of the couples formed even better matches more naturally by the end of each family for the round. I have no idea why, I think once it was because they had just met, but some had known each other the whole time and just didn't seem to pay any attention to them until after. It's almost like the game is designed that way O_O the creators of The Sims 2 are cleverer than I thought! LoL
As for Generation 2....I expected to have more families, but I wonder how I'm going to manage so many. I think each round is going to take a LOT longer than I expected to get through. Purely to get the Skin numbers up for starters, with only having one skin 3 sim. I want to have at least one family with direct lineage to ancestors, if that makes sense. I want to be able to have Skin 1 -> Skin 1 -> Skin 1 -> etc. as well as the other mixed and all. Right now all I have is mixed, and there's always the hazard of thinking TOO much about it, but it's also too easy to let it go naturally and just find out six generations from now I have no Native Americans or no direct lineage to be King, following? LoL don't worry if you're not just the random section of my brain working overtime.
And now for the sneak peek - I was trying to get Nadja and Detlef married in preperation for the next round, but even though I can have kids born INTO the family over 8, the game says "you cannot have more than 8 sims on this lot" when I try to marry. That's easy fixed though, I'll just kick Jurgen out next round ^__^ (so loving).
