Round Nine - Continued
Modus Interruptus: I have changed from a Lichtenberg3 family to a Faulkner4 family last minute, so Faulkner4 family will be displayed here this round only, next round it will follow Faulkner3.
Faulkner4
A bit of background information first - I sent Minna off to the "Outcast" lot, which is where all the leftover men are in the hope she would fall for Korbl, because I love Korbl! *totally bias* but no one seems to love him "awww" and although Korbl was the first she flirted with, Meinard was the man with the three bolt syndrome so I sent them off to their own lot but did not play them. Then, after many weeks, it was their turn and before I even began I realised - I miss Korbl! *tears* - so I decided, stuff the 3 bolts! I'm going to see what happens. And back Minna went to the "Outcast" lot...immediately, without any interference, her and Korbl were like "oh well hello there...again~" ^__^ Gold! And because Ludolf gave me the most pathetic (ie adorable) abandoned puppy dog expression - he came too! And "OH the drama!" witness the consequences of my actions...
I figured with Minna so young still I would just let the teens play and have fun, give me a break from all the children etc >_> more fool me. ACR + Free Will + Horny teenagers = ....you got it! Minna seemed keen on Korbl, and he her, and they were inseparable for, oh, maybe half a day? LoL. They were playing and laughing and joking and in and out of bed together (thankfully no lullaby!) and even Ludolf was happy to amuse himself...on the bench, and as for the earlier flirting between Ludolf and Minna? That was fine! Harmless! Right? >_> Wrong. There was one flirt too many and when push came to shove Minna got a slap in the face! The funniest thing - Ludolf immediately apologises for falling in love with his brother's betrothed and...all is forgiven, at least for Ludolf, well, they do say blood is thicker than water!
I know this was a really long segment for just one round but I was hoping to show the story as it played out, I had the best fun with this family that despite the length it went really quick! Because it's a new block they get that extra initial day, I still haven't found a way around that. But even then it was lengthy because of all the soap box drama going on. I hardly touched them at all, I didn't initiate anything once they were on this block, they just seemed to naturally gravitate to doing certain things - I swear Minna is a Romance sim at heart >_> She's not all bad, she's actually quite amusing to me, I imagine her with a dry sense of humour, a bit of sarcastic wit, but she's such a sweetheart really, very non-argumentative. I thought it amusing when Ludwig came on the lot - you can check out the family info for this too but Korbl is 5th born, and then the twins follow him Ludolf 6th, Ludwig 7th. Korbl and Ludolf are identical! I think with so many kids it was inevitable, NO other kids have turned out exactly the same, even if the same starsign they always have a slight difference, but Korbl and Ludolf are exact right down to the number of nice/mean/playful etc points on their starsign, BUT so saying - their personalities are similar and yet different! They're both playful and caring, but Ludolf just has that little bit more "cool" personality, a little more laid back and peacemaker type compared to Korbl who is a smidge more exuberant. So to see Ludolf's real twin show up - already adult - amused me ^__^ I'll also add Gisela is too adorable for words, she's a Pisces like her Dad but she is SO attached to her Uncle Korbl, and he to her. I decided while playing that I'll break my own rule and let Korbl have his pick from the Gen3 kids, even if he's an old man before he gets one himself, I still really want to see him have at least one! I am the biggest Korbl fan since he was just a kid >_< I'm so happy to see him back in the game!
Rosenberg
Part One of my "catch-up" family - the Rosenbergs. Oh yeah, you knew they were going to be red-heads! ^__^ And just to confuse me further I added more eye colours (will bash head against wall later). I don't know if it was just because they are a brand new family with new personalities, but I had so much fun with this couple! I haven't finished yet but thought I'd post some pictures up for now; if you want to be spoiled you can check out the "Family" section above to see what happens next. The Rosenbergs are a very loving couple that so far haven't stepped on any toes, and they come across as a little bit dense but in a fun way rather than exasperating. I loved how all the other families kept showing up one after the other, I hardly got any townies - except that creepy green lady that showed up REAL soon and then Romy couldn't get out of bed for an age coz she was in the way - what's up with that? As if the Rosenbergs weren't fantastic enough - they spat out a girl! A GIRL! Little Isolde~ And they didn't stop there - but I'll leave that until next time~ The only problem I have is - WHY with two nice sims, is Isolde an evil Scorpio? *face flop on desk* Bah! At least it'll be interesting. ^__^
Part Two of the Rosenbergs - and there you have it, two rounds down for the new family and didn't they do a fantastic job?! I mean, seriously, I could not have been luckier if I cheated! *note - that was not an admission of guilt* >_> I'm so stoked they had a girl first, and yet she's going straight to Benedikt I don't even care if they hate each other! *stern face on* And THEN what do they do? They have the cutest (ever!) boy! Little Wolfram joined the fray~ I figured, what with them being new and me lacking in family variety, I'll just go ahead and have poor Romy spit one out one after the other - and despite what you see in the last picture, she had another girl before I logged out of them for the last time this round - little Anja. Looks like Korbl might get some loving after all! He just...has to wait a while >_>...a long while... ^__^ Meanwhile~ My apologies for the last picture =_= I'm a bit disappointed; Romy was teaching Wolfram to walk and I thought this was so uber cuteness I just had to take a picture and...>_> now all I see is a kid that just threw up on his mother...aha, camera angles people, camera angles! Next up - the Brauns ("about flipping time!" they say since I inserted several extra families *cough* slash rounds *cough* since their last go phew! what a round this was!) And then after that - Round 10! *__*....hopefully, sometime before christmas...yeah, really hope so! x___x
Braun
It's hard to believe I found this family a little dull to play looking at these pictures now, the first two days nothing happened at all - except that Brunilda and Nadja argued...a lot. Did they always do that? I can't remember, I think not since it doesn't ring a bell. I guess impending doom does things to an elderly person's mind...(just guessing!) It sure rained a lot and could I get Detlef or Nadja out of the puddles? >_> What I found annoying that you can't see here is the amount of times Wendal was jumping on the bed - every time I turned around he was on the bed, which of course is more a pain because it promotes bears! Especially around this time of year *cough* Both deaths did take me by surprise because neither was at the end of their life bar so I thought they'd be around all "round" but they went fairly early. But the biggest surprise was when Nadja gave birth - to twin girls! This family is now the only family with more girls than boys - they have their heir, a daughter...and now two spare girls to barter off at will. And then poor little Greta grew up but because of the twins taking up both cots (and me too stingy to buy another one) she was red in both bladder and energy when she aged. I thought she would make it but... >_> obviously not. Oh, and Nadja did eventually get traumatised by seeing the ghost of Gerhard, but I missed taking the picture coz I was too busy having issues with my desk chair >_> probably what they have that "pause" button for.
Braun2
This edition of the Braun2 family was all about the twins - the first and only set of boy twins so far. I'm really surprised there hasn't been more, but I haven't had as many kids per family this generation so it's probably statistically sound. Moving away from the geek-logue - I did enjoy playing this family, Liesa is probably the most like her mother, fun and loving and a terrific mum always paying attention to each and every one of her ever growing brood. And is it just me, or did the twins turn out super cute? I'm delighted. Pity about the fourth >_> but he's got plenty more ages to get through so there's hope for him yet! ^__^
Braun3
Erwin and Isa are my youngest couple ever - both teens for last round, and STILL teens for this round, I decided after seeing the cuteness that was Katja that she would be a lone child...for now, anyway, because she's so cute and I wanted to give Isa a chance to grow up, which she did...at the end of the round ^__^ Erwin is a few days older, he grew up on the second day in. They are a really super mellow couple; it's more like they're friends, than married, but I guess my steering them clear of the bed had something to do with that >_> *cough* what? ^__^ Also, with Braun 2 and this family I kept forgetting about the vegetables and they died...or were sold near rotting point - don't forget your vegetables people! It was actually quite refreshing to play a young couple with a tot/child, though I will spoil the surprise and say in the end I gave in (and got fed up with steering them clear of the bed, seriously, they were like moths to a flame - inevitable - right?) and Isa is pregnant so here's looking forward to see if she pops out a boy next round.
And with that - it's official! the END of Round 9! WOOT! *cheersquad going bananas in the background* I started this round October 26! @__@ Oh so long ago...*can't even remember that far back* And it is now, rather late, December 5th, but I was determined! *stern face on* And it's done! Round 10 here I come~
