Round 10 Continued
Althausen
It was all about "aging" for the Althausen family this round; I'm pretty sure someone was aging (or dying) every day, which made it both interesting and surreal when I got to the end and was like "is that it? but all they've done is age!" you know? Something to that effect. I have not set Oskar up with anyone yet, it just so happened he kept bringing kids home from school who just happened to be females >_>...*suspicious* I wonder... Any how, he does seem to get along seamlessly with Kora Faulkner and as they're not related it's always a possibility, but this game changes so much from family to family only particular couples will stick out to me when it comes to matchmaking, so if they last in my head that long then good for them! *mini cheer squad ranting in the background* they DO look adorable together, and are quite well matched, but we'll SEE - I have to be stern this round you know! The BEST thing that happened this round was little Alban being born with his grandmother's eyes - THE first child EVER to be born with the "ix" light green eyes, everyone else got the dark green "xiii" eyes - love those random genes.

Lichtenberg
It was the second night after two days with the Lichtenberg family when I was sinking onto my arm on the desk trying to get through the round and I thought to myself..."Why don't I just remove the mouse and have a free for all?" Not literally, of course, but I did just stare and not interfere with the family AT ALL, for NO reason did I click on anything...except to take a picture, but I did not interfere with the family in any way purely to see what happened, and my goodness did they give me a show. Mere moments after deciding this (at sim night) than Jessica what's her face thief showed up >_> it's eerie how this game works...really... After she stole a few things, and without me clicking even to wake them up, she ran off and THEN Josef wakes up at 6am like you see in the picture...*shaking head* THEN I discover that if I don't touch the sims at all they STAY in the sun and burn...and burn...and you get the picture; and there are only so many times you can pass out from heat stroke before your die of hunger... Yes, I could have saved him - but where's the fun in that? ^__^ So Josef, second generation heir to the direct Lichtenberg family line passes away at the young age of 31 (I used ACR to find this out). Luckily he leaves behind 2 sons legally able to continue the family line. Meanwhile, Saskia, although a few years older than Josef, still has plenty of child-bearing life left in her, so I decided to bring the outcasts over and see who she got along with... >_> funny thing about that, 3 of them are Lichtenbergs *cough cough cough!* I forget which twin is which (and is being lazy coz it's dang hot here right now!) but it was Meinard and Merten Lichtenberg, Meinard being the favourite for Saskia, but Merten being the one who favoured Saskia most >_> confused? *pat pat* it's okay, I have more yet. I thought it very sweet that Erik came to mourn his poor beloved son. Despite hours of hanging out there was just no real SPARK with Saskia and the twins (and Niklaus Braun was so uninterested he left hours ago) so I sent them home and was just playing merrily along with Saskia and the boys, waiting to see what happened next and THEN (no, Gunter seeing his Daddy's tombstone floating was not it) Anselm Lichtenberg showed up - for those too lazy to go look at the family tree; Anselm is the youngest Lichtenberg boy, Josef was born just before him, and the twins just before Josef with a girl first and last over all. AGAIN without ANY interference...Anselm flirts, Saskia reciprocates, and because they've been friends for ages (and Anselm has fallen from grace with his brother-in-law already - refer to Round 9, Lichtenberg2 family for more information) it's crushing and love hearts for all...>_> and then as we see Saskia is now pregnant...and it's not her deceased husband's! ^__^
Lichtenberg2
My the Lichtenbergs could rival a daytime soap this round couldn't they? It was pretty much the same deal - I did nothing but watch the events play out; Ziska was actually pregnant the previous round, hence the pregnancy this time despite the severe anger she feels toward her husband. She had a lot of support from her son and other family members though, not sure if it was just coincedence but a lot of them showed up this round! As for the fight with Silke - she wouldn't stop pestering/annoying/arguing/etc with Anselm and before I knew it they were fighting like cat and dog, much to my amusement ^__^ And Torsten wasn't really fussed about his Dad leaving, probably coz he kept coming back >_> Not sure what's going to happen there but eager to return to the Lichtenbergs now after their eventful round! ^__^

And that be the end of Round 10! Wow, after the last round this round just sort of flew by, and I even played the families for longer than previously without skipping through much. Perhaps it was all that drama and diversity of stories that came out this round, different for me at least to the usual same old day in day out stuff from previously. I'm guessing it's because the families are more varied now and going into the Roman era I'm starting to think ahead about the next set of rules so social structures are starting to play out, maybe not so much here, but definitely in my own head when I'm playing the game... >_> did I just sound mentally unstable? (Is playing the sims so probably shouldn't ask that question). Any how, I very much enjoyed this round, and hopefully don't sound callous when I say the deaths added diversity so I'm perhaps not mourning the losses as much as I should be ^__^ The only other thing is - I was SURE that in cases that a fight occurs the loser is to be killed any way I like but at the time of the fight between Silke and Anselm I couldn't find it anywhere so figured I either imagined it - or it was in a different era! I saw something of the like in the Dark Ages with the Vikings so managed to confuse myself out of it @__@ So although Anselm lived to the end of the Round - his days are numbered; when I get back into the game next he'll be out of it (aww!) Moving on - Round 11 is already underway and I feel like I never see much of the Faulkners! They have more families than any other but they always seem to go by so quick, but I'll leave that for next time. Tally ho~
