Colosseum Death Match #1
Technically this is the second death, but as Karsten was just in the wrong place at the wrong time I'll call him Death Match Zero! Officially, according to the Emperor's rules, this is the first Death Match to be chosen by lottery so shall be considered the first, but Karsten is still going down in ATOT sim history! *applause* The rules set down by Emperor Torsten state that once a month, on the last Sunday, (every 4th family in real time) a slave shall be chosen by lottery (ie, I pull a name out of a box) and if that sim is of teen age or above he or she shall be slaughtered in the colosseum at the Emperor's whim. If the slave is baby, tot, or child age, they shall be replaced in the box and live to fight another day! *applause*
For the first official Death match the first name chosen was in fact one of the most recently born sims - Angelo O.O *the horror!* barely a few weeks old I immediately threw him back into the box and dug for another; the second name pulled - the saviour of little Angelo! - is none other than the aging (literally on his death bed anyway) Generation 2 elder Fritz Faulkner O.O *gasp* An unfortunate end for the friendly, every easy going, Fritz, who deserves better... but heck, at least he was already old! (I did not cheat; I will take whichever sim of age comes out first). And so, in the wee hours of the morning, Fritz was awoken from his bed, and not wishing to upset the rest of the family took only his eldest son Thorbin as witness, though he did run into his nephew Benedikt before he died who was most fascinated with this unusual new past time =/

Facing the lightning bolt who would have a chance?! Definitely not an aging old man that's for sure. And so we bid adieu to the noble Fritz Faulkner, may he rest in everlasting peace... for more exciting battles on the death grounds tune in next month to see who is next to face what in the next exciting episode of Colosseum Death Match! *applause*
All dramatics aside XD what I did was write down all slave names onto paper, fold them over several times, and plonk them in a box which I shook and then chose a name from. I did all this at the end of the fourth family since the Emperor put down the rule, which was the Braun4 family, so at the end of playing the Braun4 family I pulled out the name, and then went immediately into the Faulkner2 lot to drag Fritz out of bed and off to his death. I will do the same every fourth family; so the next time I shall pick a name will be at the end of the Faulkner2 family =/ coincidentally enough, and then from there the Faulkner6 family, and so on and so forth until the end of the Roman Era.

Last round Wolfram discovered the horrors of looking too closely in a mirror when one of his freckles turned out to be not just a freckle! I don't know what he's worrying about, with a face as cute as his, and covered in SO many freckles, he's just too cute regardless XD Tabea learned she could walk through walls, but I think the super power was temporary as she didn't attempt it this round. Kaspar aged into a teen and decided he was hot stuff, thankfully Wolfram put him firmly back in his place before he too aged - into an adult - and immediately invited over his betrothed - the beautiful Frieda - who joined the ranks producing the next generation! Exciting stuff huh! XD Alas, not much changed this round ^_^ as I played shopkeeper again.

The newest family on the block; last round we were introduced to the wealthy but romantic Albus and his beautiful free spirited wife Virginia, who unlike other romans do not follow the rules =/ as seen by their lack of opposition, and in fact encouragement, to their eldest daughter wanting to marry a slave farmer, and then their lack of concern that their daughter has run away with said man to whereabouts currently unknown - love is enough to carry them through, come what may, and all that jazz! They also want as many kids as they can pop out, so start counting! XD
Current residents: Albus, Virginia, Aelius, Lucius, Gisella, Iolanda
Woo! That was the fastest round since the first few way back at the beginning, which I don't think legitimately counts considering I had five small families then =/ As I had holidays I completed the playing of this round in 11 days officially, which included several hours of building construction for new houses and such. I am in awe! Booyeah! *applause* thank you, thank you very much *takes a bow. Pity I couldn't have it updated as fast, but oh well! Better late than never! And this makes it the official halfway point for Generation 3.......which surprises me, with the rounds so long now it feels like FOREVER, and yet, it's only Round 3 for Roman Era O.O I'm going to finish. I'm going... to finish... *flops* Good luck! XD
